I spent most of this weekend getting my work ready for submission, i made a 90 page long PDF which includes all my work. I used Microsoft Image Ready to make it with and my evaluation is included at the end. I then put all my files together along with a power point presentation i made last night and put it together with the video clips i intended to include with it. I'm now going to submit this blog into the folder and then i can go for Breakfast!

I have been working on my images lately, trying to get them to their full potential, using a lot of texture overlays and things.

Finished image

This is my favourate and will be used for the CG Society competition, it is my Robotravana in all it's glory. I started it on Adobe Illustrator and then refined it on Photoshop. The heads are attached to a rotating ball, each head has a different personality and it adjusts it's heads to see problems with a different point of view. It has ten heads all together and 22 arms, six main ones and another 14 smaller arms which help with reloading the weapons, making any repairs to the structure and cleaning. It's legs give it a sort of demonic look, making it resemble the more western Satyr or Faun.
It is mainly used by the Thugee as a psychological weapon, only using it's guns to eliminate anyone dumb enough to stay and fight it! with it's twin rocket launchers
it can overcome any obstacle, it has a very advance AI as well, designed especially for brutality.

workin' all night an' day

Made a couple more images since last time,

I did this one on Photoshop in a day, it has more atmosphere than my othe ones, i wanted to create something with a bit of feeling and this one captures the mood quite nicely. It shows it being made by people who work all through the night to see their creation built to help the fight against the invaders.

New Painting

I have another painting up, this is my robot in a simple background with another two characters in the foreground, (I appreciate any pointers anyone can give to help me to make it better) I did it entirely in Painter X paying attention to such details as the composistion of the piece. I used this issue of ImaginefX for it's tutorial on composition. I tried to keep it simple, focusing on the rule of thirds to create a sort of figure of eight composition to lead the viewer around the scene.
